The 12U Renegades baseball team advanced to the semifinal game, which was a real thriller. They placed top in their division. Sunday started with a big win over BPC Jr. Spartans. The bats came to life, leading to a 5 – 0 victory. Then they played Matbo 12U Black where they went back and forth throughout the game, finally falling 6-11. This is all after playing a full weekend of baseball on Friday and Saturday.
The tournament also has additional fun like the Homerun Derby and the Speed Burner competition. During Saturday afternoon the tournament takes a break to feature the top hitters and base runners from each team. Lukas Sperka represented the Renegade 12U team while David Meade swung for the 11U in the Homerun Derby. Each did their programs proud, mashing the balls over the fence. Sperka ended up hitting 2 home runs while Meade crushed 1.
