Renegade players and family volunteer at Feed My Starving Children

The Renegade Travel Baseball Program volunteered at Feed My Starving Children facility four years in a row. The Renegade players and family came together for an annual volunteer experience that creates positive change for hungry children around the world. The players and their families volunteered at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Schaumburg where they helped a cause greater than themselves. There they packed 65,016 meals to help feed 178 children for an entire year. Precious children will be eating a nourishing meal soon because of the Renegade players and families. All the food will be shipped to and help feed children at the Risen Savior Missions in the Philippines.

Everyone accomplished something tangible together by packing MannaPack Rice Meals, which include rice, vegetables, vitamins, and soy in each bag. The 11U and 13U players took another step forward in their travel baseball season, proving their dedication to becoming Class Athletes.

FMSC has fed kids in over 100 countries since 2009. Their goal is to create local food security so future generations can thrive. Meals usually take between two weeks and six months to travel to their destination. It all depends on where in the world they go and how hard it is to get there. They cross the ocean by ship or plane and wait in line to clear customs. Then they journey by car, bike, canoe or even donkey to reach our partners. Many hands carry these meals to children and families in need.
