With the season over, and players are considering travel baseball or different programs, here are some of our players’ thoughts on the season. They took time to self reflect and wanted to share their thoughts with the younger teams and new players. As you help your son consider a new program, hear from our players.
As each players reflects on the season, the best reasons why we let them play were shared. Coach Ugel has players self reflect after each game. Players grow throughout the season and part of the growth is the physical and mental betterment of themselves. They development into ‘class athletes’. And this time, they shared a few thoughts about the season.

Before becoming a Renegade, I thought I knew the game of baseball pretty well. I didn’t know how wrong I was. Within the first couple months of my Renegades career, I probably had attained more baseball knowledge than I ever had. With two years of experience, I know for a fact that I’m much more prepared for high school baseball than others. Also, I thought we had a pretty good year. I owe this incredible season to my coaches and teammates, who I know gave up so much of their time for this incredible season. — Renegades Player
When I first heard about the Renegades I was not sure what to expect. However, after two years as a Renegade I learned exactly what it meant. In that time I learned more about baseball, sportsmanship, commitment, character, and discipline than I ever thought possible. I learned that coming early, working hard and staying late really does pay off. I became aware that it is not just the commitment from the players that make a team successful, but also the unparalleled passion of the coaches who wanted to make us not just better baseball players but better people. In addition, I realized that we all needed the support of our families to make the experience even more meaningful. It was a privilege to be a Renegade and I will always be proud to have been part of such a class organization. — Renegades Player
This season was one of the best ever. I learned more about baseball than any year before. I learned more about situations and how to respond to them. I learned a lot for all the aspects of the game and I was able to replace bad habits with good ones with the outstanding coaching given to me. I also met some great friends that will be with me forever. It was the greatest summer ever. — Renegades Player
This season was the best baseball experience I have ever had. The teams we played, the coaching we got, the pitching we faced, and the class and respect that we learned were just the best. On the other teams that I have been on, the sportsmanship, and player quality/expectations wasn’t as great as it was on this team. I learned so much from all three coaches, from hitting to outfield play, to base running. I loved being on this team; I just learned so much that I would have never from any other team I could have been on. Thank you! — Renegades Player
